Family Reunion 09

The Henderson Reunion.
My mother in law (Barb) side of the family.
We went to Oceanside,CA which is North of San Diego.
The Condo complex we stayed at was beautiful, right on the ocean. It had a great swimming pool and spa. It had a huge pond full of beautiful fish that you can feed. The condo grounds were decorated with beautiful flowers everywhere (which Avery and her cousin Bennett picked half of them) Beautiful tree's, and walkways. It even had a golfing putting green.
We all had a great time. We loved playing with our cousins!
A week just was not enough time to enjoy all of our great surroundings!

Beach Time.

These 3 couldn't get enough of each other. They all got along so well. They spent hours and hours in the sand.
Austin and cousins Luke and Halle.

Austin and Luke having a sand war.

Avery loved playing in the Ocean. She was fearless. She would scream for more when we look her out.

Avery showing Nani her treasures.

Anson and our cousin Dustin.

Who needs Sun block when you can use sand??
Austin and cousin Luke.
This is the right way to put on Avery's swimsuit...

this is the wrong way.  Daddy got a little confused.

Austin and Jack, where's Luke??

Barb sisters,  Aunt Sara and MaryJane
Meet Jack. He is such a sweet boy, plus he loves to get his picture taken.

Pool time.

Austin swimming to Grandpa.

Austin, Halle, Grandpa, and partly Anson:)
Avery loves the water.

SEA WORLD

The Atlantis ride that Austin and dad went on like 5 times. It's pretty scary, half water ride, half roller coaster.
Elmo! They have a kid play area at sea world, so fun.
My favorite. The Dolphin show

Waiting for the Dolphin show. So exciting.
Ausitn refused to stand next to the weird looking penguin so I made Anson pose.

DISNEYLAND
It was so so crowded. It was a bummer.  We didn't make it on very many rides, but we did enjoyed some characters...  Our cousin Samye posing with the kids.

More pictures to come...
I can't wait until our next reunion!!!

Me and Austin's Adventures to Disneyland!

After the family reunion just Austin and I went back to Disneyland for a couple days (last minute decision). While Anson and Avery went back home. Sad. Anson couldn't get his plane ticket changed. Austin and I flew rapid rewards on southwest, so we didn't have any trouble changing it!
I absolutely love Disneyland. I also love that I have a silver pass from my husband's work, ABC internet group, which means I can get into the park for free plus 3 people.   Since we just went on Monday for the family reunion and it was really crowded I expected it to be worse because it was a Saturday.  Much to our surprise the park was so NOT crowded.  Austin and I went on rides over and over again. Including Indiana Jones. Austin is finally tall enough to go on that ride and it is his new favorite.   We had a BLAST together at Disneyland. It's not very often just Austin and  I get to spend alone time together and we enjoyed every second of it. The Fantasmic night show was amazing, the fireworks show was beautiful.  The Aladdin show that I have seen 3 times in the last two months will never get old, I love it. I let Austin lead the way... whatever ride he wanted to go on, we went on. Wherever he wanted to eat, we ate. He was in charge, and he loved it!  We were two kids at the park having a good time! We went on all his favorite rides several times, Matterhorn, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Pirates, Peter Pan, and Indiana Jones.

Yum.  Austin wanted the biggest cupcake. I assured him that he wouldn't be able to finish it, but he really wanted it. He ate like a third, and of course I ate the rest.

pointing the way through the Tarzan's  Jungle
Austin loves Chip n' Dale's! He told me that it would be hilarious to watch these big Chip n' Dales climb the tree's.  I agree!
After Indiana Jones ride. He loved it!
before Indiana Jones ride. He was a bit nervous.
Space Mountain! Austin had his hands up almost the whole ride.

Our next trip, Disney World!

Austin at my parents house. He loves his 4 wheeler.

Dad and Austin at Family Fun Center in Seattle.
My mom and Austin. He was playing pirates. So that explains his fabulous jewelry and stick in his hand.

Disneyland

Memorial Day weekend I flew to Vegas for two reasons. One: because Austin had a visit with Mike and his grandparents that live in vegas.  Two: to visit my BF Keri who lives in Vegas.
We had the BEST girls weekend ever! We drove to Disneyland with Keri's sister Kellie and roommate Brittany, I provided free tickets for all of course. Thanks to my Husband!
Here are some highlights from the trip. Sorry Keri I stole some from your blog, heheehe!

It was Kellie's birthday one of the days we were there, so we got to sing the Disney Happy Birthday song to her over and over and over again. And she loved it :)

We got to eat at the Blue Bayou restaurant (the one inside Pirates of the Caribbean). It was so cute, and delish! It is always been tradition in my family to eat there. It was a first for the ladies I was with. Kellie also got a free desert, for simply displaying her Disney Happy Birthday pin.

I introduced Keri to the Monte Cristo sandwich at the New Orleans Cafe. So yummy.

Making the most hideous faces on every ride that takes your picture.

Eating Cotton Candy. I LOVE that stuff.

Awkward speed walking races through the park.

Me and Britt's blood curdling screams the first time we rode California Screamin'. But we rode that ride so many times that by the last time, I don't think we even made a sound.

I finally got to see the Aladdin show. I've always wanted to go, but could never seem to fit it into our tight Disneyland schedule.

Getting handed 4 "go straight to the front of the line" passes by a complete stranger that apparently didn't speak English. Too bad we got them an hour before closing, so we couldn't use all of them. We did, however, share them with this cute little family that was at the very end of the line for the Nemo ride. They were so grateful- they had some exhausted kids!

Riding California Screamin' at night while the fireworks show was going on. Both nights.

I got to experience the Bugs Life show for the first time.

Going on Tower of Terror and lifting our feet and hands. While screaming our heads off, so scary!

Waiting in line for Aladdin.

I'm pretty sure Keri spent most of her time laughing at me.

Bugs Life Show. Surprisingly freaky.
Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday To You!
Blue Bayou restaurant

I had a blast with these girls. We will be doing it again!

TWO WEEKS LATER...

Disneyland :  Avery's first trip.
Two weeks after going with Keri, Kellie, and Britt. I went with Anson, Avery, John and Ann (Austin was with Mike in Reno for his summer visit).

Avery had so much fun. She was such a good girl.
It was fun to watch her reactions on all the different kid rides. She absolutely loved the Aladdin show. Ann is 20 weeks pregnant here, YEA! She was a good sport to watch Avery while we went on bigger rides.  I am pretty sure her and John will no longer share a hotel room with us because Avery decided to wake up at 5:45 am, yikes.

People say Avery looks like the little girl in Monsters Inc.

This is what happens when you go on "its a small world" can't stand that ride!

We flew down to Disneyland but Avery and I drove back to Reno with Ann and John, so we could visit Austin. WOW, 10 hours is a very long time in a car with Avery!!!
